Impact of Maternal Antibodies on Infectious Bronchitis Virus (IBV) Infection in Primary and Secondary Lymphoid Organs of Chickens

چکیده

Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) causes infectious disease in chickens. IBV primarily infects the upper respiratory tract and then disseminates to other body systems including gastrointestinal, reproductive, urinary systems. Unlike original serotypes, novel variants target lymphoid organs, but information on this is scarce. In study, we aim evaluate impact of presence maternal antibodies infection primary secondary organs. Maternal antibody free, specific pathogen free (SPF) hens were divided into vaccinated non-vaccinated groups. The progeny male chicks from these four groups; challenged (VC), (NVC), non-challenged (VNC), (NVNC). challenge groups given 1 × 106 embryo dose (EID)50 Delmarva (DMV)/1639 by oculo-nasal route non-challenge saline. serum anti-IBV titer was significantly higher compared genome load lower VC group than NVC oropharyngeal cloacal swabs bursa Fabricius (BF) cecal tonsils (CT). histopathological lesion scores BF CT. These findings suggest that could provide some degree protection against

The early immune response to infection of chickens with Infectious Bronchitis Virus (IBV) in susceptible and resistant birds

BACKGROUND Infectious Bronchitis is a highly contagious respiratory disease which causes tracheal lesions and also affects the reproductive tract and is responsible for large economic losses to the poultry industry every year. This is due to both mortality (either directly provoked by IBV itself or due to subsequent bacterial infection) and lost egg production. The virus is difficult to control...

A serological survey for detection of avian infectious bronchitis virus antibodies in domestic village chickens in Esfahan, central Iran

Infectious bronchitis (IB) is a very contagious disease caused by a coronavirus (IBV). In chickens, thevirus affects the respiratory, reproductive, and urinary systems. This study was carried out to determine theseroprevalence of anti-IBV antibodies in domestic village chickens. Serum samples of 300 domestic villagechickens from Esfahan (centeral Iran) were collected and examined for the presen...

Comparative anti-infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) activity of (-)-pinene: effect on nucleocapsid (N) protein.

In the present study, anti-IBV (infectious bronchitis virus) activities of (-)-pinenes were studied by MTT assay, as well as docking and molecular dynamic (MD) simulations. The CC₅₀ values of (-)-α-pinene and (-)-β-pinene were above 10 mM. And the maximum noncytotoxic concentrations (TD₀) of (-)-α-pinene and (-)-β-pinene were determined as 7.88 ± 0.06 and 6.09 ± 0.31 mM, respectively. The two c...
